LES DÉDIÉS™ · Smart Helmet

The intelligent safety helmet
capturing construction-site data
Operator-friendly.
Revenue-generating potential.

Construction businesses know their field expertise is valuable, but capturing it without interrupting operations is a challenge. The LES DÉDIÉS™ helmet is designed as a practical entry point: contextualized recordings that authorized robotics engineers can pay to access.

A practical starting point

Capture field data without adding a heavy reporting burden.

Rather than asking superintendents and crews to stop work to write more reports or film every decision, this proposed helmet would capture visual, audio, motion and environmental context while approved jobsite operations continue. The goal is to feed a structured, modular knowledge capsule with minimal disruption.

Why it exists: help construction companies document real methods and decisions as work happens, so authorized engineers can consult and analyze contextualized knowledge remotely.

Two forms of authorized engineering access:

  • 1) Archived / static access: license or purchase consultations of documented daily logs and verified knowledge capsules.
  • 2) LIVE access: pay hourly to observe approved site activity remotely, without traveling to the jobsite.

Concept only. Ergonomics, safety certification, sensor accuracy, battery life, connectivity and actual data collection must be validated before use or commercial sale.

PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Vision and audio

HD/4K POV cameras, directional microphones, noise reduction, timestamps and synchronized streams.

Motion and orientation

Accelerometer, gyroscope, IMU, head tilt, vibration and event detection.

Site conditions

Humidity, temperature, illuminance, barometric pressure and airborne particles (PM1, PM2.5, PM10).

Connectivity

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, encrypted local storage and secure synchronization with CHANTIER / LAB infrastructure.

These sensors are for contextualized research data, not replacements for approved industrial hygiene instruments. The complete helmet and approved accessories must satisfy applicable Canadian safety requirements.

The reason behind the product

Businesses need an operator-friendly way to capture data without slowing down the jobsite.

THE PROBLEM

Human reasoning is often missing from daily logs

Traditional logs document what happened. They often miss why a superintendent adjusted a sequence, what an experienced finisher noticed, and what alternatives were rejected.

Capturing these decisions manually would add work to already busy crews.

THE APPROACH

Connected equipment that documents work as work happens

The proposed wearable system captures observations and real execution with less interruption, creating structured material for approved robotics R&D use.

01

The crew works

The construction team continues regular operations.

02

The helmet captures

Video, audio, sensors and context create synchronized records.

03

The engineer accesses

Approved LIVE or archived access, without a site visit.

04

The company earns

Actual purchased access could offset some active site payroll costs.

The investment proposition: the helmet is more than equipment. It is a proposed gateway to paid engineering access to real, difficult-to-reproduce construction knowledge. Partner interest, access sales and income are not guaranteed.
A three-part business model

The company captures. The engineer accesses remotely. Expertise can become licensed knowledge. Each approved day adds to an archive that may generate future revenue.

01 · ENTER THE PROGRAM

$211.11 initially (CAD $111.11 activation + CAD $100 deposit)

$111.11 for contributor portal access, once the actual submission service becomes available.

$100 as a separate proposed helmet pre-order deposit, subject to applicable consumer protection and trust requirements.

$1,000 remaining helmet price when the product is ready for delivery. All amounts in CAD, before applicable taxes.

02 · REMOTE LIVE ACCESS

$111.11 per engineer-hour

An engineer or research organization pays for approved real-time remote access to a participating jobsite.

Proposed allocation: $100/hour to the participating company and $11.11/hour to CHANTIER / LAB, subject to signed agreements and actual paid sessions.

This could offset part of the active crew's payroll.

03 · ARCHIVED LOGS AND LICENSING

$888.88 target price per 8-hour log

At the end of a documented day, verified data may be offered for authorized archived consultation.

Each eligible day expands the company's archive and opportunities for additional licensed use.

Potential increases as the archive grows; actual revenue only occurs when customers purchase access or licenses.

Build a reusable knowledge archive

Capture today. Archive every day. License tomorrow.

Authorized recordings may be timestamped, organized and indexed into modular jobsite knowledge capsules. Engineers may request access to specific logs, archived sessions or negotiated research licences.

Privacy, ownership, workers' rights, data retention and licensing must all be agreed before making materials available.

Now, let's talk numbers

What if documented workdays also created new revenue opportunities?

Illustrative scenario only. LIVE payouts require sessions actually purchased. Archived logs and research licences are separate potential revenue sources.

LIVE · Company revenue$4,000.00$100 per paid LIVE hour
LIVE · CHANTIER / LAB fee$444.40$11.11 per paid LIVE hour
Archive · Hypothetical gross sales$17,777.60$888.88 per purchased 8-hour log
Important: $888.88 is a proposed price to consult a complete eight-hour archived log, not an automatic value created by recording. The revenue split for archive sales is not yet agreed. R&D licences are separately negotiated. All amounts are CAD, before taxes and operational costs.

More relevant documented days may mean a broader licensed knowledge catalogue. Nonexclusive licensing requires appropriate rights and contracts.

In summary: the business proposes to pay $111.11 for contributor access and a separate $100 helmet reservation deposit. An additional $1,000 would be payable when the helmet is available. Approved data may then support potential LIVE, archived log and R&D licensing revenue.

CONTRIBUTOR ACCESS

$111.11

Proposed one-time access to the contributor account and data submission portal once the service is operational.

HELMET PRE-ORDER

$100.00

Proposed deposit, credited toward a future $1,100 helmet purchase. The $1,000 balance becomes due when the product is ready for delivery.

Deposit payments remain closed while delivery, cancellation, certification and applicable trust-account requirements are established.

ENGINEERING ACCESS

$111.11/hour

Proposed remote LIVE access to an authorized construction-site recording and context, without travel.

Target allocation: $100/hour to the company; $11.11/hour to CHANTIER / LAB, subject to actual paid sessions and contracts.

Transparency: this is a concept in development. The certified helmet, live access, secure submission portal, data licensing and payment distribution are not yet available. Payments remain disabled until required services, safeguards and contractual terms are ready.
CHANTIER / LAB · Why we innovate

Today's human expertise. Tomorrow's safety and resilience.

We do not develop robotics to replace skilled workers. Our objective is to better assist professionals, improve comfort and contribute to their safety. Real construction-site challenges can guide applied R&D that serves people and their environment.

Human safetyReduce exposure to hazards and physically demanding work while preserving professional judgment.
Resilient buildingsHelp build structures that better withstand storms, floods and extreme weather.
Responsible resourcesReduce material waste, extend building service life and respect critical resources, including rare minerals.
Valued expertiseRecognize field expertise and enable potentially paid R&D collaborations, subject to separate agreements.

These are development objectives, not demonstrated performance claims for the helmet or any robot.

The jobsite reveals. People understand. Robotics adapts.
